Sous Chef
Your main job is managing the kitchen staff and making sure the chefs know what to do and coaching them at peak times. You work completely independently and are responsible for all aspects of purchasing products, putting together menus to the real cooking.
Responsibilities
- Cooking of course!
- Ensuring food safety according to HACCP standards;
- You ensure that the quality is always good and is improved where necessary;
- You take care of the overall operation;
- You think along in both the development of the menu and its calculations;
- You place the orders and also ensure that the stock is neatly stored and counted.
Who are you?
We are looking for a Sous Chef who knows how to present himself in our open kitchen. You have an enthusiastic personality, but also have some experience in the kitchen (and preferably also in managing a kitchen (team). This role is for that young enthusiast who would like to grow into the position of Chef within Cityden!
In addition to above, we also have a few other qualities that we are looking for:
- You live in or close to Amsterdam or Amstelveen;
- You speak English fluently, Dutch is an advantage.
- Experience as an independent working cook (at least 2 years; must);
- Independent and stress-resistant;
- Knowledge about the ins and outs of a hotel;
- Knowledge of HACCP standards.

What do we offer?
